This is What We're Building.
The Beginning Project is opening doors, shifting narratives and creating real opportunities for young people in Melbourne's west.
Our Commitment
Build the vision. Back yourself. From purpose-driven workshops to one-on-one mentorship, we create spaces where young people can figure out who they are, where they want to go, and how to get there. No pressure. No single path. Just real support from people who get it.
Narrative Lab
Your story is your power. Learn how to use it. A hands-on program in digital storytelling and filmmaking for young people who want to shape how their community is seen and heard. This is where craft meets community and where the next generation of storytellers find their voice.
Creative Studios
This is the creative space you’ve been looking for. Drop in, hear from inspiring guest speakers, then make the most of our fully equipped studio. It's your space to plan, write, edit, experiment or simply create.
Future Proof
Your future isn’t a straight line. It’s yours to shape. We help young people figure out what drives them and where they want to go next. Through hands-on activities and guided reflection, young people can uncover their strengths, values and passions and turn them into real possibilities.
Beyond the Blueprint
The west has a story. This is where it gets told. We spotlight the real journeys of young people across Melbourne's west. The pivots, the risks, the wins that didn't look like wins at first. Because when you see someone who looks like you doing it, everything shifts.
